Important Steps for Foot Wart Removal

Are you questioning what’s that growing on your foot? It’s feasible that you have foot (plantar) warts.

What sets foot (plantar) warts apart from other kinds of skin maladies is that they’re caused by a virus. It’s called the human papillomavirus.

Many different kinds of warts are brought on by HPV, not just foot warts.

You get the warts virus thru the skins surface. Meaning, it gets into the body through breaks in the skin. Foot warts can involve all areas of the foot, not just the soles of the feet. some individuals get them on the top of their foot or even on their toes. They appear the same as other warts. They have a raised, cauliflower like appearance. They tend to be flesh colored and sometimes they have spots in the center of them. Sometimes you may find more than one of these warts. You’ll probably also notice that the sizes of each can vary.

On the other hand, warts on the bottom of the foot have a somewhat different appearance. The force from being on the bottom of the foot causes these warts to become flattened. These particular warts also have a clear shape, which is outlined by their distinct borders.

If you’ve ever wondered whether your growth is a wart or something else, then pay attention to its shape. And if it forms a clear shape, i.e. if it has borders, then it’s likely a wart. Yet another way to tell growths apart is the speed at which they grow. The other growths take more time to form. But on the other hand, warts form rather quickly.

Don’t forget, asking your doctor always makes good sense. So if you’re still skeptical about what you’re looking at, then you should probably make an appointment.

Okay, now let’s discuss how you can remove plantar warts. Of course, you should start by treating your warts, but you should also try to prevent any new warts from forming.

It’s possible to spread HPV from one area of your body to another. This means if you already have warts, then be sure not to touch them directly.

You shouldn’t go without footgear while walking outdoors, especially in highly trafficked places. Health clubs and swimming pool are primary examples of locations that you should always have on sandals or some other sort of footgear. Washing and drying your feet frequently also reduces your chances of getting the virus.

Wart removal treatments vary in complexness. Most doctors recommend that you start treatment yourself by using a simple over-the-counter product, like salicylic acid.
